Summer concert series

Thursday night, Shyla and I spent the evening at the Darius Rucker concert.  We stated the evening with pizza from Shakespeare's and then to the outdoor concert.  We had a great time listening to him sing all of his new songs, several Hootie & the Blowfish songs and even one of my favorites, The Joker by Steve Miller Band.

Curly Curlies

McKenzie always wants curly curlies, she tries to braid her hair, not brush it, wrap it around her finger, etc... so she can have curly hair.  Last Sunday I had some extra time before church so I curled it for her.  

She was so excited to have curly curlies.  :)

Henry Houston Hadel was born yesterday morning at 5:24am.  I woke up to a text message saying...he's here.  I was so excited, we had to go see him.

McKenzie has been anxiously waiting to meet Henry.  There have been numerous times she would say, "let's talk about Shelly's baby"  when Shelly was still pregnant.  

Carter on the other hand was not as interested.:-)  He did pretty good with the whole thing except when I was holding Henry, Carter was not ok with sharing his momma.

This was just to cute not to share.  McKenzie and Carter were STARVING as they always are, so I gave them some Cheerios.  They were setting there sharing waiting patiently, to leave to so see baby Henry, when I took these pictures.  That is right....baby Henry.  He was born this morning and weighed 7lbs 5 oz.  Henry is Joe and Shelly (my sister's) little guy.  I have photos but will post them tomorrow.

Fun in the SUN!

Megan, Dalton, McKenzie and I spent the day at Big Surf, yesterday.  The kids had so much fun together and Megan and I had a great time talking and watching them play.  The kids wore us out!  We started out going down all the slides with them, but soon we were waiting at the bottom watching them ride again and again and again.

This year the rain put a damper on things a bit, but after the clouds cleared we were able to bbq, shoot, swim and watch the fireworks.
