Mother's Day

I had such a wonderful Mother's Day this year.  Tim and the kids bought me a bottle of my favorite perfume, Coco by Chanel.  They also sent me flowers to work.  They were beautiful and very aromatic.  Everyone that walked by told me how wonderful they smelled.

Adventure Club, McKenzie after school care program, held a spa night for all the moms.  McKenzie and Carter gave me a manicure.  Carter painted my right hand and McKenzie my left.  Aren't my nails lovely?

This past weekend I was able to continue the celebration with Cathy, Scott, Jason, Zelda and Mary Jane by going to the dinner theater where we watched Hairspray.

Kindergarten here he comes.

Carter's preschool held a little graduation ceremony in their classroom to send them off to school.

Carter and his teacher Ms. Jenne.

He was so proud.

Such a sweet picture.

Reicie and Grandma Lou came to watch him graduate.

You're glowing

McKenzie and I have another 5K in to books for this summer.  This past weekend we ran in the glow run.  We got all decked out in our glow attire and waited for the sun to go down before we took off.

having a good time with friends.

My good friend Shyla

We stopped mid race to snap a quick picture with some of the lights.

Post race we had a good time in the black lights.

Showing off our medals.

Carter is so cute.  He wants to run with us so bad.  He was showing me how he would run tonight in the living room.
I am going to sign them both up for a kids event later this summer.  It will be a better race for him.

Bulletin board

McKenzie wanted to decorate the May birthday bulletin board at school.  Her teacher said that would be great and provided us with the list of the students with May birthdays.  I started searching the internet for fun ideas, but we no longer have a teacher store here so I knew whatever we decided on we would have to make from scratch.   We spent several evenings and part of one weekend drawing a tree, leaves and flowers and getting them all cut out.

McKenzie cutting out the letters for the board.

Carter wanted to help also.

Hanging the back ground paper.

The tree and signs are going up.

Family fun

The kids and I went to St Louis to visit Shelly and Henry.  We visited the zoo, the magic house and watched Henry's soccer game.

The turtles were very active when we were there, it was fun to watch them move around.  Turtles are my favorite animal.

Henry loves the penguins.  We were so close to them we could have reached out and touched them.

going for a train ride.

Shelly and I enjoying the train also.

The zoo has a sting ray petting area.  McKenzie and I could have stayed there for hours.

A little play time.

Checking out the jelly fish.

The next day we visited the Magic House.  There were so many fun things for the kids to experience.

Carter wanted the pipe fitter hard hat, of course.

Pizza anyone?

The electric ball.  It is hard to see in the pictures but it makes your hair stand up on end.

That is McKenzie in all those pins.

After we got home Shelly's neighbor's daughter came over to play.
McKenzie and Lilly always have a good time.

Saturday morning we went to cheer Henry on at his soccer game.

This age is so much fun to watch as they are learning the game.
