sucker = mega mess

Carter gets a sucker ever Sunday in his Sunday School class.  The first sunday he moved up to the 2 year old class I didn't think much about it.  Carter carried out his sucker, got in the car and we were on our way to Grandma Lou's.  A few minutes later, I looked back and Carter had his sucker in his mouth and ALL OVER himself.  A 2 year old and a sucker are not a good combination.  But I have finally found the answer...I let him eat his sucker in the bathtub.

Happy Valentines Day

Reiche went to McKenzie's school Valentine's party this year.  They had a lot of fun playing games, making a craft and eating snacks.  McKenzie has such a sweet tooth, she ate all of her candy by the time she got home.

party time

McKenzie was invited to a classmates birthday party at Flipz, last Friday night.  The kids all love this place.  Tim was in Omaha visiting Jason, so I took Carter with us.  He had a blast, but don't tell him he is not as big as the other kids.

Carter has proven he is going to be as much of a dare devil as McKenzie always was.

This is a horrible picture but I love that it shows how much fun McKenzie was having.

The kids took turns getting in this and rolling around on the floor.

I am a leader!

McKenzie received a leadership award at her school assembly.  Her elementary school implements and practices, The 7 habits of highly effective people by Stephen Covey.  This has become second nature for McKenzie.  She is always coming up with a win/win solution when we have a "problem",  she tells me to put my listening ears on if I don't hear her, and she told me the other day we need to synergize.   We are so proud of how much McKenzie has matured this year.

Stephen Covey's seven habits are:
  • be proactive;
  • begin with the end in mind;
  • put first things first;
  • think win/win;
  • seek first to understand, then to be understood;
  • synergize;
  • sharpen the saw.
