summer nights.

We are really enjoying the warmer weather.  The kids ask, ever night, if we can eat outside.  Once they are done eating they are on the swings or playing ball in the back yard.

Got Milk?

I joined McKenzie's class for a field trip to a dairy farm, this morning.

After the dairy farm the class had lunch at the park and then had some time to play.

After the tour I asked McKenzie what her favorite part of the farm was.  Her reply, "the ice cream" they gave the kids at the end of the tour.  I should have known. 

McKenzie can't wait for the tooth fairy to visit her tonight. 

 Tim had school today in St Louis, so the kids and I had noodles & Co for dinner.

McKenzie brings so much joy to our lives.  She has such a contagious & fun personality.  I got this letter the other night in McKenzie's folder at Adventure club when I picked her up. 

In case you can't read it, it says....Dear Julie and Tim,   I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoy having McKenzie in Adventure Club.  She comes in every morning with a smile which makes for a great start to the day!  She has a great imagination and includes everyone in her games.  Not only is she always smiling, she is always dressed so cute and fashionable!  We love having McKenzie every morning and afternoon and hope that she will be with Adventure Club for a long time!

"Hello, Uncle John"

Carter loves to talk on the phone.  Sunday I called John and Carter cried when I hung up because he wanted to talk to him.  I called John back and let Carter talk to him for a few minutes.  Carter was happy as could be.  He really does love Uncle John.

I am not sure what all John and Carter talked about, Carter was a man of few words.  He would say, "hi", "good", "yes", "good", "yes", "hi"......

What more could I ask for?  I got to eat breakfast this morning with McKenzie.  Adventure club, McKenzie's before and after school program, hosted breakfast for the kids and their parents.  The one on one time with her before work was an amazing way to start my day.
