Henry came to visit...

and Shelly too.  Friday night we had a wiener roast at Mom and Dad's.  It is so peaceful being outside watching the fire.

On your mark...get set....     McKenzie wanted to race John.  She made him get down in the runner stance to start.

Reiche also raced McKenzie

 Carter found the marshmallows!

He didn't want to give up his hot dog so we could cook it.

We love Uncle John

Saturday morning we went to McKenzie's soccer game.  I loved getting to watch her play.  Her team did a great job.

Chicago? yes please.

Last weekend I went to Chicago for Erin's bachelorette party.  It was a fast weekend but so much fun.  Saturday our train left St Louis Union Station at 6:40am.  When we arrived in Chicago we ate lunch and went shopping on Michigan Ave.  That evening we went on the Spirit of Chicago dinner cruise.  The Chicago skyline was gorgeous from Lake Michigan.  After the cruse we hit the town until 4:30am.  The next morning came very early, as our train departed at 9:20am, but we had a great time with some amazing memories.

18th month check up, or should I say 20 month.

Tim and I didn't do very good in getting Carter to his 18th month checkup - we were only 2 months late, oops.   A few weeks ago, Tim took Carter to his appointment to see Dr Stuebben.  Everything looked great and Carter is growing and developing right on target.  He measured in at 33 1/2 inches putting him at 70% on height.  He weighs 27lbs 4oz for 60% on weight, and his head circumference is 19 3/4 inches putting him at 80%.   Again, Tim had nothing to add from their visit and he didn't take any pictures (but I am not complaining because he did an amazing job & I didn't have to do it)   :-)

Family & Fun

We made a quick trip to KC, last weekend, to help Tim's cousin celebrate her 13th birthday.  Jim and Cindy, her parents, pulled off a wonderful surprise for her by having family and some friends there to help her celebrate.  We had a great time and enjoyed getting to visit with everyone.
Happy 13th Birthday, Morgan.

 We love our Nana!

Then on Sunday, Dad's side of the family had a small reunion in Centralia.  My dad's aunts and uncle don't get together very often so mom and dad organized a reunion for them and all the children.
