The tooth fairy will be visiting McKenzie

McKenzie lost her first tooth tonight.   Since Tim is gone this week, McKenzie didn't want to put her tooth under her pillow until he got to see it.  I am sure she will get a visit from the tooth fairy one night this weekend.  

Just one short year ago today, our lives were forever changed.

December 28, 2009 we were blessed with our little man, Timmothy Carter Cummings.

Christmas blessings

We had a wonderful Christmas this year.  We were able to celebrate with both Tim and my families.  

Last weekend we went to Kansas City to stay with Cathy and Bruce.  We had a wonderful time getting to see Cathy, Tim's mom, Bruce, Tim's grandparents, Tim's brothers (Scott and Jason) and Scott's kids.  We enjoyed a delicious dinner, great conversation, and of course the KU game.  The kids had so much fun playing together and Nana was often found on the floor playing with the kids or having a tea party with her granddaughters.

Grandma Lou had her Christmas last weekend also.  Grandma had hers on Sunday afternoon, we celebrated with Grandma Lou, Uncle Jerry, his kids & grandkids. Mom, Dad and John.  We missed Shelly and Joe at Grandma's Christmas but we got to see them this weekend.

Everyone loves Grandma Lou and Carter is no exception. So Sweet!

Christmas morning, I was the one who couldn't sleep.  I woke McKenzie and Carter up and took them to our room, to wake Tim up.  After we opened gifts and got everything cleaned up, Mom, Dad, John, Grandma Lou and Uncle Jerry came for lunch.

Christmas night we headed to Mom and Dads for dinner.  Tim only got to celebrate for a short time and then had to head home to go to bed.  He had to be at work, in Hannibal, Sunday morning at 7am.

After all the celebrating, Carter and I were beat. Love me some snuggle time!!! 

Bell Ringers.

Local 562 Plumbers and Pipefitters, volunteered to ring the bell for the Salvation Army today.  Tim took an hour shift this morning.  McKenzie wanted to go see him, so the three of us stopped by for a few minutes.  

Santa, I have been good this year...

I took McKenzie and Carter to the State Farm Christmas party, this morning, at Bonkers.   We meet up with good friends Sherri and Dalton.  McKenzie was so excited when she found out Dalton would be there.  The Christmas party was a ton of fun.  The kids got to eat breakfast, see Santa, complete a craft, pick out a Christmas present and of course play in the play area for a few hours.   I enjoyed getting to see several of my friends kids and having time to socialize with co-workers.

So many things to be thankful for

Thanksgiving day we had a wonderful time with family and yep...we ate to much.

Tim cooked his first bird this Thanksgiving.   He got raving reviews.

We were also able to squeeze in a visit to see Arlin and Tillie.  Tillie was Shelly, John and my babysitter from the time we were tiny babies.  We grew up with her kids and even called Tillie mom.   Still to this day we take any opportunity to get to see them.  All of the kids were in for Thanksgiving so we went over for a little while last Friday.  Arlin and Tillie have 4 kids, Brenda, Barbara, Nancy and Kevin.  While we were there we were able to reminisce about some of our memories, such as the plays they use to put on for us and Kevin auctionerring.  We have so many wonderful memories with this family.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST:  Carter man took his first step on Thanksgiving day.  He hasn't taken off walking yet, but stands alone on a regular basis.
