Tuesday November 23rd, Chris and Morgan had their baby girl, Berkeley. She was 8lbs and 10 oz. I went to visit her in the hospital Wednesday night and could have held her for hours. She was just so precious. It is hard to believe Carter was (almost) that little just a year ago. Morgan and Berkeley got to go home yesterday, so I took McKenzie today to see her. McKenzie and I talked about the fact that she could not hold Berkeley, she had a hard time understanding why because she got to hold her baby. But McKenzie, did a great job, she sat next to Morgan and touched Berkely's foot.

happenings around the Cummings house
McKenzie's class at school earned a pajama day for being good. McKenzie wanted to wear her silky jammers and her ballerina slippers to school. She was so excited that morning, she got up on her own, got dressed, ate breakfast and was ready to leave. This was such a great morning for me because usually it is all I can do to pull her out of bed, help her get dressed and there are even some mornings when I have to brush her teeth, just to get her out the door. I am in favor of a pajama day everyday!
The Holidays are fast approaching. This past weekend Tim went deer hunting at the cabin. Since scrooge :-) was out of the house, McKenzie and I put up our tree and Christmas decorations.
Carter loves the tree. The first time he saw it he just looked and looked. It didn't take him long until he wanted to go check it out for himself.
Our stockings are not very exciting - but I am excited that we all have our own this year.
Say Cheese!
A few weeks ago I hired a photographer to take some family photos. We meet her at Shelter Gardens, here in town. The weather was perfect for photos. It was overcast, no wind and the weather was cool but not cold. Pattie made it so much fun. We were there about an hour and a half and she even got Tim to crack and give her a few big smiles. Here are only a few of the 600+ photos she took.
This is one of my favorites. I love the fact that it is not posed.
Daddy got caught giving Carter a kiss - so sweet
Playing football
This is another one that I love.
What a beautiful little girl. She was quite the poser. She would say, "Mrs. Pattie, take one of me now" as she would pose. Pattie never had to tell McKenzie what to do.

A new hair cut
Tim decided to let McKenzie help him cut his hair.
Daddy showing Keke how to use the clippers.
McKenzie had so much fun.
Look at that concentration.

Trick-or-Treat
This year we had Tinkerbell and Charlie Brown for Halloween. McKenzie wanted to be Tinkerbell because she has the perfect hair for it. We Trick-or-Treated at mom & dad's, Grandma Lou's, Chris & Karissa's, Chris & Morgan's, Grandma Susan's and our neighbors across the street. We were ready to head home and get ready for our trick or treaters when the neighbors across the street invited McKenzie to eat dinner with them and to play with their little girl, Emily. McKenzie got to Trick-or-Treat a little with them and later they brought her home.

Trick or treating at one of my good friends, Karissa's, house. McKenzie and Carson (Karissa's son)
McKenzie decided there were not enough pictures of her so she took about 10 like this one.
