fall party at school

I love getting to go to McKenzie's school parties.  She tells me a lot of stories about her friends.  So getting to see/meet them and to see the inside of that part of her life is so much fun.  I love watching her interact with all of the kids.  I am also taking full advantage of the time, because she is still proud to have me there and I know those days are numbered.

Fall festival and Auto expo

This year, I am on the United Way committee at work.  Shyla and I co-chaired a fall festival and Auto Expo.  This event was to raise money for the United Way.  We had a car show, food trucks, starbucks, caramel apples and a photo booth.  All of the employees could come out and enjoy the activities on their breaks.  It was a great success, everyone had fun and we raised more money than last year.

Dad participated in the car show by bringing his "boogie boogie"

Shyla and I had a lot of fun in the photo booth.

My boss and his girls (my team at work).  We work hard and play hard.

Anniversary weekend

Tim and I had a great time in KC.  It was a fast but productive weekend, including shopping at Zona Rosa, eating at In-A-Tub tacos (a first for me), studying a little for my CPCU test, buying new chairs to go with our table, going to Leavenworth and dinner at The Capital Grille.

They also gave us dessert.  So pretty and delicious.  They thought of everything making the whole experience wonderful.
Thank you for the recommendation, Cathy.  The Capital Grille was Amazing!

10 years ago, I married my best friend.

Tim sent me flowers today.  This weekend we are going to Kansas City to celebrate, with dinner at The Capital Grille.

We took the kids to a tractor pull.  McKenzie had a great time watching the trucks and tractors.  I thought Carter would enjoy the trucks more but I think his favorite part was the funnel cake.

It was so loud we took hearing protection for the kids.

Carter enjoyed watching the big trucks.

just like daddy.

visit from friends

One of my good friends, Kim, came to town with her family a few weekends ago.  While she was here we went out to eat and had an opportunity to catch up.  Kim and I met at Columbia College when we were pursuing our masters.
