Such a sweet little guy

Carter is growing up so fast.  He is such a little boy - no more baby.

Carter loves bugs, dogs, tractors, school busses and BIG trucks.  He is just like his dad; the bigger and louder the truck the more it get his attention. 

Water Babies

During the summer we always spend a lot of time at the pool.  This summer, we bought a pool membership, so we are there every opportunity we have.  McKenzie is really enjoying all the time she is getting in the water.  She asks every night if we can go to the pool.  

Carter loves the water also.  He is working on the fundamentals of swimming.  He loves kicking his feet, blowing bubbles and going underwater. 

She loves to swim underwater.

He wanted to lay on his stomach so he could see everything going on.

Father's Day

Lunch at Grandma's can be a lot of fun when Uncle John is there.

Carter wanted a turn also.

 After lunch we went to Dad's Fest in Moberly. 

Like father, like son -- Carter could not take his eyes off this loud monster truck as it did donuts, sped by, crushed cars and dog walked over the cars (Tim had to help me with that term). 

He also enjoyed the car show - which was a little more Granddad's speed.

The kids loved the bounce houses,

the blow up rock wall, and 

 the pony ride. 

Carter has very sensitive skin and his eczema flair ups every once in awhile.  Last week the skin around his eye broke out.   We decided it was time for him to go to the dermatologist, who said it was due to his eczema and allergies. 

With everything there is always a positive - Carter's positive was the time we had to wait for his Rx to be filled.  He got a balloon,

a delicious donut and a ton of attention from all the cute girls working in the pharmacy.

After a few days on his meds our little guy is good as new.

We have also started sand blasting Carter's new bed.  I will post before and after pictures once it is finished.

Another year has come and gone.  I am not sure where the time has gone, but it goes by to fast for my liking. :)  McKenzie has grown and matured so much this past year.  She is such a caring, fun, free spirited little girl.
