This morning, Tim and I went to an assembly at Shepard Blvd Elementary school where McKenzie received an award for showing responsibility. The assembly was completely put on by the students grades K-5th. The school has developed all their studies around, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, from Stephen Covey. In doing so they have empowered the kids to be true leaders. It was a lot of fun to watch the kids and witness what they really are able to accomplish.

The school invited 4 business professionals from around town to hand out the awards/pencils to the students. One of the 4 adult guests was McKenzie's Sunday School teacher (the lady in the green sweater). McKenzie was so excited to see her at school, she gave her a huge hug when she walked on stage.
