Every year they do a 5th grade picnic at the park. They play games, have a photo booth, do a scavenger hunt, BBQ and let the kids have free time.
At the picnic they had each student decorated a puzzle piece to signify their "piece" within the class.
The fifth grade class
The 5th grade took their field trip to the St Louis zoo this year.
I rode up with Angie one of my friends from work and happens to be McKenzie's friend (Sarah's) mom.

Jeff's mom and Angie are good friends also so Jeff rode with us as well. They made the drive up and back very entertaining.
While we were at the zoo my group was made up of 4 kids from McKenzie class. She is good friends with the other three so it worked well. I have to say this was the most well behaved group I have ever taken anywhere.
(El, McKenzie, Jenna & Jerry)
Usually when I visit the zoo the polar bear is laying on a rock. This time he was swimming and very active. It was so much fun to watch him.
McKenzie graduated Tuesday, May 24th, from elementary school and will advance to Middle school next year. She received an award for choir, being a leader in safety patrol, being the top reader in her class on MyON and the Principal's award.
She was only allowed to invite 4 people (excluding siblings) to graduation due to space. Nana and Reiche joined us to watch her graduate.

She finally got a cell phone, for graduation.
