A fun visit to St Louis

A few weekends ago we went to St Louis to visit Shelly, Joe and Henry.

McKenzie and Carter both wanted to hold Henry all weekend.

The three of them could destroy an area faster than Shelly and I, togehter, could keep it picked up.

What cuties

Shelly always has lots of fun projects when we visit.  We used Joe's old speaker boxes to make tunnels through the living room.  The kids loved crawling through and laying in them.

We made butter out of whipping cream.  The kids shook their creme for a few minutes and then it was up to Shelly and I to shake it until it turned to butter.  I had never made butter, it was very interesting to see it change.

Butter

Shelly had an antique butter mold that we filled and put in the refrigerator.  The butter was so good.  We ate it on some of Shelly's homemade poppy seed bread - my favorite.

Carter saw Henry's crib and wanted to take his nap in it.  Aunt Shelly is nicer than I am and let him sleep in there.  He climbed in and went to sleep.  He was so happy.

We were all amazed at how big Henry has gotten and how much he is growing up.  It won't be long until he is completely mobile.

Saturday night we went to eat Pizza at the local pizza place we usually visit when we are there.  The kids love to watch them throw the pizza crust up in the air and they throw flour at the window

Poor McKenzie got to feeling pretty bad on Sunday before we came home.

Carter loved playing with Henry
