Last year McKenzie applied for and was accepted into this years schools safety patrol. With Safety Patrol, she will assist the kindergartners after school to make sure they get on the correct bus, be a crossing guard before and after school for the kids that walk, put out and take down the American flag, in addition to just being a leader for the school.
Last week they had the swearing in ceremony.
Officer Ash with the local police department came to school and swore them in.
